Me at work in my studio
One of Birmingham’s leading divorce lawyers has struck out on her own with the launch of family law practice, Carla Hull Solicitors Ltd.
Carla, formerly a partner with Midlands law firm Needham & James, marked the launch of the business with a reception in the Roof Garden at Colmore Row’s Bar 110 which was attended by more than 80 local business and media people.
Carla’s husband, Adrian, an experienced litigator and currently a partner with Needham & James, will be joining Carla as co-director in September.
The couple, who married in October last year, aim to establish a niche family and litigation practice with a national client base.
Family Lawyer Courts Success With Own Firm
“Our aim is to offer both private and corporate clients the expertise to resolve any dispute effectively and efficiently and, where possible, work with them to anticipate potential areas for disagreement and advise how best to minimise the risk,” says Carla.
“By being our own bosses, we can ensure an attentive, highly personalised service which will work in the best interests of our clients,” she added.
A Solicitor Advocate, Carla has the authority to represent clients in all the Courts of England and Wales. She is also one of an elite group of lawyers in the Midlands to be fully qualified in collaborative law, which offers a less confrontational approach to resolving family matters.
Chair of Birmingham Law Society’s International Committee and a member of the Wesleyan Advisory Board, Carla sits on Birmingham Future’s Membership Committee as well as the Resolution Committee for the West Midlands. She is an active member of the Association of Women Solicitors and the Law Society of England and Wales.
Initially, the Solihull-based practice will advise on divorce and separation, cohabitation, property and financial disputes, issues relating to children and pre-marital arrangements.
